Volunteers and Interns
We love every bit of effort

I worked with VVF as a trainee during late December 2015. The experience of working with this close knit NGO was totally different from any other peer organization. The commitment and dedication of the Team VVF to improve life of underprivileged, yet eager set of students was remarkable. Working with them, I realized how complex things are from inside when you work selflessly for the society, the problems you face and the kind of focused commitment that is required to create an impact. Asha mam's efforts towards bringing about a change in the vicinity are very encouraging and invoke a sense of responsibility in others to work for the students. The organization provided me with the opportunity to interact with the students, who were themselves a great source of motivation for me and the team. Their zeal to know more, their eagerness to put in extra efforts and their hard work to improve their living conditions propelled me and the team to work harder. Whatever short duration I was associated with VVF for, I enjoyed every moment and was satisfied with all the efforts we put under the able guidance of Anjali mam because she ensured that we worked in the right direction towards betterment of students' future. In the end, I would like to thank VVF for giving us this opportunity and I wish them all the luck in the future.

MBA (IIFT) 2015-17

I was associated with The Vigyan Vijay Foundation for a short span of 3 weeks. However, this short

time has contributed to increasing my inclination towards making a difference to the society.

The constant help and support from the mentors at VVF and the diligent attitude of the

students drove us to come up with ways to improve the skill development techniques and

courses at VVF. VVF’s strong will power to build capability of the economically backward young

generation in order to help them adapt and be a part of the employment sector in our country

is commendable. I was involved in building various strategies and providing real time

recommendations to increase the efficiency of VVF’s working. I also helped VVF hold an event

to create awareness among st the youngsters in the locality about how important it is to be up-

to-date with the current technologies and internet of things. I had an amazing time working

with everyone at VVF and would like to thank them for giving me this opportunity to contribute

to the society in the little way that I could.

Aanchal Uppal -Intern

MBA(IIFT) 2015-17

I did my internship in The Vigyan Vijay Foundation. As experienced during my work tenure, I can say that this organization stays true to its core objective i.e. uplifting the marginalized for a better future. It is a very flexible organization and it constantly works towards the progress by adapting new interventions. They are engaged in various project activities to achieve their objective. As part of my organization work, I was exposed to one of their project, Saakshar, which focused on the non-formal education of the children. This project extensively focuses on the mainstreaming of a child in the formal school system through various interventions. Working under this program gave me a wide exposure in understanding the diversity of a community and moreover, to plan interventions to motivate children from slums to attend school. It had been a very knowledgeable experience to work in this organization and its learnings will help me in furtherance of my skills for elevation of the weaker section.

Internship at The Vigyan Vijay Foundation has been a very knowledgeable experience for me. Here I am able to find my strength and weaknesses. On our first day, introduction was given by Ms, Asha Kumar about the organization-VVF which is started 15 years back in September, 2001, with the vision - “To help communities evolve as socially aware, economically self-reliant and morally responsive units. Thus, enabling, a self-actualized society.” I and my co-intern Apurva worked under Saakshar which is a non-formal setup for the education of the children who are dropouts in the slum areas. The children at Saakshar were very creative and talented. The NGO is a well known institution among the people of the community and also gave me a opportunity to enhance my skills. I am also very thankful to Ms. Asha Kumar to encourage and motivate us and I would also like to give my sincere thanks to the teachers and volunteers at the organization who devoted their precious time and knowledge to help me.
